Our Why

We see you - in the rush, the reset, the grind. This shop fuels our mission:
training that saves lives, free resources for teams, and a community that understands hospitality
from the inside out.

Every purchase powers support. If you need help, take a breath and reach out.
We’re here - before service, after close, and every moment in between.

Our mission is to make EVERYONE aware of mental health in hospitality.

How we got here

Founded in May 2019 by Kris Hall, The Burnt Chef Project began as a photography campaign that sparked raw conversations about burnout. Today, we’re a global social enterprise delivering accredited training, free resources, and backed by ever-growing community united by one mission.

Our impact so far

Our team - and a growing network of global ambassadors - pour their hearts into our mission every day, helping kitchens, bars, dining rooms and FOH spaces become places where mental health is talked about and supported.
